Jamaica caused a major upset in Commonwealth Games netball when they pipped gold medal favourite Australia yesterday.
The Sunshine Girls qualified for the medal rounds with their 57-55 triumph over the Australia Diamonds, who are also through. They will play England or defending champion New Zealand in the semi-finals tomorrow.

BREAKING NEWS: A Russian court has convicted US WNBA star Brittney Griner of drug possession and sentenced her to nine years in prison plus a one million rubles fine, which is approximately US$16,000.
The 31-year-old had pleaded with the Russian judge not to “end her life” with a harsh prison sentence for bringing in vape cartridges containing hashish oil which she said it was an honest mistake.
US President Joe Biden denounced the verdict and sentence as unacceptable and called on Russia to release her immediately so she can be with her wife.
