It was a sloppy start early but the Rabbitohs have flexed their muscles in the second half to kick away from the Dragons for a 28-6 win in the Charity Shield.
Souths wing Braidon Burns crossed for a second half double as the Rabbitohs outscored their rivals 22-0 after the main break.
Meanwhile, Parramatta big man Ofahiki Ogden crashed over for the first try and things were looking ominous for Canberra when Sean Russell scored to make it 10-0 after 12 minutes.
