BREAKING NEWS: There are fears for the future of the Melbourne Rebels who are under immense financial pressure from A$9Million debt, a Rugby Australia inspection of their books has revealed.
News Corp is reporting that Rugby Australia cannot bail out the Rebels but will make every move it can to save the team from folding, with RA desperate to remain at five teams.
The report also states that a forced merger with the ACT Brumbies, who also have financial issues, is a possibility.
