Rugby League Immortal Cameron Smith has quit as Billy Slater’s Assistant Coach for the 2024 State of Origin series to be replaced by former Maroons hooker Matt Ballin.
AAP reported Smith has stepped down after two victorious series as Slater’s assistant coach, with Ballin to join Josh Hannay and Jonathan Thurston in the hunt for a three-peat.
