The Broncos won the grudge match 28-16 in front of 45,000 fans at Suncorp Stadium last night, but they lost Wing Corey Oates to a broken jaw from a high tackle, which saw Cowboys fullback Scott Drinkwater binned, lucky to only spend 10 minutes off the field.
Locked 10-10 at that time, just four minutes into the second half, it proved a pivotal turning point as the Broncos scored twice with Drinkwater out.
