The NSW Rugby League have agreed to release NSW Blues Head Coach Michael Maguire from the final year of
his contract opening the door for him to take the Brisbane Broncos job vacated by Kevin Walters’ sacking.
The Sydney Morning Herald reported the NSWRL agreed to release Maguire following a Board meeting yesterday morning.
Former NSW Blues Coaches, Ricky Stuart and Laurie Daley, along with Brad Arthur, Laurie Daley and Brad Fittler could be in line for recalls, but the NSWRL is reportedly eyeing bigger fish in Grand Final coaches Ivan Cleary and Craig Bellamy and left-field options, Phil Gould and the Johns brothers.
