The Panthers are taking over CommBank Stadium – home ground of fierce arch rivals Parramatta Eels. Penrith will play all of their home games there in 2025
This after the NSW Government unveiled plans for a new Penrith Stadium, with an upgrade increasing capacity to 25,000.
The works will see BlueBet Stadium closed after the end of the 2024 season and reopening in time for the 2026 campaign.
And Broncos boss, Kevin Walters has put his son Billy on notice by re-signing hooker Tyson Smoothy until the end of 2025.
Walters Jr cemented the No. 9 jersey in Brisbane last year as they charged to the grand final, but there’s plenty of competition for his spot.
Walters will be the starting hooker in Round 1 but Smoothy, Cory Paix and rising star Blake Mozer will no doubt keep him on his toes.
