In rugby league – Merry Christmas, the NRL has announced a record-breaking salary cap for the 2023 season yesterday, for both male and female players.

The NRL salary cap increases from A$9.6Million in 2022 to A$12.1M in 2023, a 25 per cent increase. The salary cap for development players lifts from A$240,000 to A$650,000.

The NRL Women’s salary cap increases by 153 per cent to A$884,000.
