And at the Rugby World Cup 2023

The latest RWC2023 results so far this weekend:

England 71-0 Chile in Lille, Georgia 18-18 Portugal in Toulouse, Argentina 19-10 Samoa, France 96-0 Namibia, Italy 38-17 Uruguay and we tip Ireland to trip up South Africa in Paris later this morning.

Tomorrow at 3:45AM Scotland vs Tonga in Nice and at 7AM Wales vs Australia in Lyon.

Wallabies Head Coach Eddie Jones said yesterday: “Every team has matches like this during a Rugby World Cup and for this young team it is this week. We’ve prepared well, are focused on what we need to do, and we’re ready to fight.”

In Rugby League

The Australia PM’s XIII escaped with a hard fought 30-18 win over the Papua New Guinea PM’s XIII in Port Moresby, with Australian Head Coach Mal Meninga praising both sides post-game as well as the PNG fans, who came out in droves to support their country yesterday.

“The PNG side played really well, but I’m really proud of my guys as well. Rugby league is the winner.”

In the NRL Semi-finals

The New Zealand Warriors scored first against the Broncos last night, when Dallin Watene-Zelezniak finished off a slick movement from Shaun Johnson to take an early lead. But the Broncos dominated the rest of their semi-final for a 42-12 win at Suncorp, with Reece Walsh stealing the show.

Yesterday, the Panthers booked a spot in their fourth consecutive grand final after thrashing the Storm 4-38 — their biggest-ever win in a final.

Powerhouse winger Brian To’o bagged a hat-trick, thanks to the smarts of Nathan Cleary and effort of Isaah Yeo.

In SportsBiz

The Marshall Islands — a chain of islands in the north Pacific Ocean with just 60,000 inhabitants has formed its first national soccer team. They were the last country recognized by the United Nations without a national soccer team.

So now, the Marshall Islands will receive at least US1Million from FIFA for football development..

In Combat sports

Ex-UFC star, Jason ‘Mayhem’ Miller has been arrested again.

Miller, was arrested for the twelfth time in the last 12 years following an altercation at a West Hollywood nightclub last month.

By the time Police arrived on the scene, Miller had fled, but he was arrested the following night after returning to the nightclub.

‘Mayhem’ has served time for felony domestic violence, vandalism, attempted grand theft, and resisting arrest.

And in Football

After their Clubs spent nearly US$1Billion buying new players and superstars like Neymar and Karim Benzema, the Saudi Pro League is averaging only 8,500 fans per game, a 24% increase from last year, but much lower than the 40,000 the EPL averages.

And that’s a wrap!
