Malo  and welcome to Episode 85 of Breakfast Bites by TeivovoSports.com – a  wrap of Pasifika peoples sports on this cloudy Friday morning 23  September 2022 – coming to you from paradise on the 180th meridian in  the middle of the Pacific Ocean.

In rugby – Sam  Whitelock captains a much changed All Black side, with Scott Barrett,  Sam Cane, David Havili and Quinn Tupaea ruled out through injury.  Beauden Barrett starts at Fullback with Ardie Savea back at Number 8,  Dalton Papali’i at 7 and Jordie Barrett starting at 12.

Meanwhile, Wallabies  Head Coach, Dave Rennie says the Wallabies will continue to confront  the All Blacks haka. “We think it’s a very respectful way of responding,  and it’s unique to us because of the boomerang shape. We won’t stop  that. They throw down a challenge and we accept it.”

In rugby league – Australian  Kangaroos Head Coach, Mal Meninga has drawn a line in the sand and says  any player dithering about their allegiance to the Kangaroos is not  wanted. Big Mal is with the Australian Prime Minister’s XIII ahead of  Sunday’s clash with the Papua New Guinea Kumuls at Suncorp.

Samoa  is going to be tough to beat at the Rugby League World Cup after Sydney  Roosters teen star Joseph Suaali’i pledged his allegiance along with  Maroons Wing, Murray Taulagi joining ORIGIN stars Junior Paulo, Brian To’o, Josh Papali’i and Jarome Luai all playing for Samoa.

In football – Manchester  United have announced a net loss of US$130Million for the 2021-22  season even though revenues rose by 18 per cent to US$657M. The club’s net debt also rose to US$580M this year, an increase of more than 22 per cent.

Who cares? They’re winning right – winners are grinners?

But  get this – despite all the losses and the mountain of debt, Man U  still paid out US$37.9M in dividends to its beloved shareholders –  mainly the Glazier family in the US.

And  finally just checking in on the Jamaican netball team again – no one  gave birth since yesterday??? Just kidding – Silver Ferns won the second  test last night 70-35.
