One bit of data that is a blow to the recent F1 Miami Grand Prix – TV viewership was down significantly from 2022. The US currently has more races than any other country, with Las Vegas now added to the calendar this year making it three, with the sport making a big bet that it can compete with NASCAR and Indycar.
However, the Athletic report that this year’s F1 Miami grand prix race averaged 1.6 million viewers on ABC and 2M viewers on ESPN, likely including streaming viewers as well.
Those numbers are both significantly down from the 2.6M in 2022 which made it the second most watched F1 race in American history.
