Summary

Malo  and welcome to Season 3 Episode 14 of Breakfast Bites, by  TeivovoSports.com – a wrap of Pasifika Peoples sports on this cloudy  Friday morning 14 October 2022, coming to you from paradise on the 180th  meridian in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. Happy birthday Tahitia.

In rugby – our  world famous tips for the Women’s RWC this weekend: Australia to Chivas  Regal Scotland, USA to Jack Daniels Japan and France to Champagne  England on Saturday, and on Sunday Italy will Campari Canada, New  Zealand to Steinlager Wales and Fijiana will Moku Siga South Africa.

Go Girls Go.

In rugby league – Manly  has sacked Club legend and Coach, Des Hasler in a bitter split and are  poised to replace him with ex-South Sydney and Brisbane Coach Anthony  Seibold. Manly superstars the Trbojevic Bros are meeting with their  Manager with a view to leaving in protest.

Former  Fiji Bati star, Wise Kativerata has flown to England to take charge of  an injury-hit Fiji team ahead of their opening Rugby League World Cup  match against Australia, after Head Coach Joe Rabele was hospitalized  and may not be able to resume his role.

In boxing – Claressa  Shields shouted “I didn’t have sex with you” during a bizarre media  conference with rival Savanna Marshall ahead of their Middleweight clash at London’s O2 Arena on Saturday night.

Er a bit too much information girls.

In football – FIFA will pay out US$209Million in total to Clubs over the course of the FIFA World Cup with Club Teams receiving US$10,000 per player per day while their player is involved in the Qatar tournament.

Manchester  City earned US$5Million from its players’ participation in the 2018  tournament in Russia. The EPL team has 17 players in Qatar and Chelsea  has 20.

FIFA will also pay out US$10M to each country whose team makes the group stage.

Finally in football – Diego Maradona’s ball is expected to sell for US$2Million at auction.

Just  to be clear, this is Maradona’s “Hand of God” football that he shocked  the world with, through his brazen gamesmanship and breathtaking skill  in Mexico 36 years ago to knock England out of the FIFA World Cup  quarterfinals.
