Summary

Malo  and welcome to Season 3 Episode 13 of Breakfast Bites, by  TeivovoSports.com – a wrap of Pasifika Peoples sports on this cloudy  Thursday morning 13 October 2022, coming to you from paradise on the  180th meridian in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.

In rugby – the  Women’s RWC Round 2 continues this weekend with Scotland vs Australia,  USA vs Japan and France vs England on Saturday in Whangarei, and on  Sunday at Waitakere Stadium in Auckland we see Italy vs Canada, Wales vs  New Zealand and the do-or-die test for Fijiana vs South Africa.

Go Girls Go.

In rugby league – Australian  Head Coach Mal Meninga hopes the upcoming Rugby League World Cup, which  is being widely acknowledged as one of the most competitive ever,  “kick-start” growth of the international game. “For us, I’m happy for  the players who chose us and I’m happy for the ones who are playing for  other nations. I want to see the international game expand,” said the  Kangaroos coach.

The Rugby League World Cup kicks off on Saturday with England vs Toa Samoa and the Australian Kangaroos vs the Fiji Bati.

In  boxing – forget about Anthony Joshua, he’s a loser. The Gypsy King’s  British Promoter, Frank Warren is negotiating what could be the last  three fights for the undefeated WBC World Heavyweight Champion, Tyson  Fury against David Chisora on 03 December 2022 and Oleksandr Usyk and  Joe Joyce in 2023.

Long live the Gypsy King.

In football – although 1.2 million foreign fans are expected at the FIFA World Cup next month, Qatar only has a total 31,123 hotel rooms and FIFA booked 80% of all available rooms for players, guests and officials for the tournament.

Fortunately, Dubai has 115,000 hotel rooms and is only a one hour 10-minute flight away and Qatar Airways and flydubaiwill operate around 50 flights per day between the Emirate and Dubai for US$250 return.

Or you could go by camel.
