In scoring, Neymar equaled Brazil legend Pele’s ‘official’ goal scoring record of 77 for the Brazil national team from 124 games for Brazil, while Pele’s goals came from only 92 games.

Meanwhile Lionel Messi guided Argentina past the Netherlands in their quarterfinal, scoring in their 2-2 draw and then again in the penalty shootout for a 4-3 win and a semifinal against Croatia.
In the Cape Town 7s Day One – Fijiana beat Britain 10-19 and Brazil 10-31 and play New Zealand at midnight tonight.
Fiji Men trounced France 33 nil and play South Africa at 10.19pm tonight.
Samoa beat Uruguay 10-21 and play Japan at 8.29pm.
While Great Britain beat Australia 19-21 and in another major upset – Spain 14-10 All Blacks 7s.
Ouch that will hurt the All Blacks brand back in Kiwi land.
In rugby league – Felise Kaufusi who recently returned from Rugby League World Cup duties with Mate Ma’a Tonga, is still a few weeks off joining his Dolphins teammates on the field for preseason training in early January 2023, but he’s liking what he is seeing from the players slogging it out in the Queensland sun.
