Super Rugby games this weekend, starting on Friday 7.05pm Highlanders vs Chiefs, Saturday 2.05pm in Suva Fijian Drua vs Hurricanes, Crusaders vs Force at 4.35pm and at 6.45pm it’s the Fijiana Drua vs the Queensland Reds in the Super W grand final, with the Blues vs Moana Pasifika at 7.05pm and the Reds vs the NSW Waratahs at 9.35pm.

Leeds United has sacked interim Manager, Javi Gracia and replaced him with former England Manager, Sam Allardyce. The Spaniard, Gracia only moved to Elland Road in late February on a deal until the end of the season.
While he won three and drew one in his first six games, he has had a horrid run of four losses in five games in which Leeds has conceded an alarming 18 goals.
Appointing Allardyce is an almighty gamble to preserve their Premier League status for a third-straight season. He has been out of work since stepping down as West Bromwich Albion boss at the end of the 2021 season in which the Baggies were relegated.
The gig at Leeds will be the 68-year-old’s 14th managerial job.

British billionaire Jim Ratcliffe has reportedly emerged as the highest bidder for Manchester United. His Group has offered more than US$6.2Billion to buy the Premier League Club, according to the Daily Telegraph.
Qatari banker Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani, also made a final offer reportedly also above $6.2B plus he promised to erase Man U’s US$620Million debt, according to The Times of India.
In the NBA
While Steph Curry and LeBron James were the headline acts, in Game 1 of their NBA Western Conference semi-finals series, it was Anthony Davis who powered the Los Angeles Lakers to a 117-112 win over the Golden State Warriors.
The Lakers big man finished with 30 points, 23 rebounds, five assists and four blocks, joining Tim Duncan as the only player in the last 45 years with at least 30 points, 20 rebounds, five assists and three blocks in a playoff game.
As expected in a clash of playing styles, the Lakers dominated the game inside the paint and enjoyed a significant advantage at the free-throw line (25-5).
In boxing
Former world heavyweight boxing champion Deontay Wilder was arrested in Los Angeles early Tuesday for possession of a concealed weapon, police said.
The Los Angeles Police Department said Wilder was detained in the early hours of Tuesday after being stopped by police while driving his Rolls Royce in Hollywood.
He was released at around 6:35am after making bail set at US$35,000, the LA County Sheriff’s Department said.
