Breaking News out of Australia is that the Victorian State government has axed the 2026 Commonwealth Games amid a mammoth cost blowout from A$2.6Billion budgeted to an estimated A$6B.
Since then the Commonwealth Games Committee and Commonwealth Games Australia, have hit back saying the budget only blew out because of changes made by the Victorian State government to their initial plans and they also questioned the accuracy of his A$6B cost claim.
