Hundreds of families and fans of the Toa Samoa rugby league team waited for over two hours at Faleolo International Airport in the early hours of yesterday morning and broke into the national anthem as their 2022 Rugby League World Cup heroes emerged from the arrivals lounge.
The arrival of the Toa Samoa players from Australia, New Zealand and Great Britain kick-started ceremonies and festivities planned by the Samoa Rugby League Association and the government to celebrate their recent Rugby League World Cup success.
