Kiwis Deliver Double Delight In Hong Kong

It was a double Kiwi
delight as the curtain came down on a sensational Cathay/HSBC Hong Kong 7s in
front of a 40,000 strong sell-out crowd yesterday.

New Zealand beat USA
36-7 in the Women’s final to top the Series standings with one tournament
remaining in Singapore. Australia 24-21 France for bronze.

Meanwhile the All
Blacks 7s won the Men’s final 10-7 against France for their first SVNS title of
the season. Ireland 14-5 Australia for bronze.

In the Women’s semi-finals
Australia 14-28 New Zealand, while USA 19-5 France. And in the
Men’s semis Ireland 10-26 France and Australia 7-26 New Zealand.

Fiji beat South Africa 14-33 and
Fijiana 19-15 Canada so both finished in fifth place.

Argentina, smarting
from not making the Cup competition in the Mother of all rugby 7s tournaments,
whacked Samoa 42 nil for 9th place.
