The Australian Kangaroos crushed Toa Samoa 12-38 in their World Cup final rematch as debutants from both sides starred in Townsville on Saturday night.

The Kangaroos scored four tries in the opening 15 minutes of their Pacific Championships clash, before the visitors stopped the onslaught, with Samoan debutant Sualauvi Faalogo establishing himself as a star of the future.

Australian women won their World Cup final rematch against New Zealand with a hard-fought 16-10 victory in Townsville last night – much closer than the World Cup decider which the Jillaroos won this time last year 54-4.
