Kenya’s all-time World Rugby 7s Series top try scorer and second highest try scorer at that Series with 271 tries, Collins Injera was inducted into Fiji’s Rugby Town Walk of Fame in Sigatoka yesterday. Among 12 others who have been honoured since 2011 are legendary New Zealand All Black Jonah Lomu and Fijian legend Waisale Serevi.
“Being honoured over 15,200 kilometres away from home is simply the best feeling in my rugby career,” Injera said.
Also inducted was Fijian rugby star of the 1990s, Noa Nadruku, who switched codes to play for the Canberra Raiders in 1993 was inducted into Fiji’s Rugby Town Walk of Fame yesterday. Nadruku was one of the best 25 players in the Raiders’ 25-year anniversary after scoring 73 tries in 92 NRL games for the Raiders.
