On the last day of 2022, remember all the good times that you experienced through sports. There was and never will be another year quite like it, so package it up and store it away. As for 2023 make sure you’re ready to ride that wave – bring it on baby!
Rest in Peace Pele.
The King of football won his first FIFA World Cup for Brazil in 1958 at the age of 17, scoring a hat trick in the semifinal against France and two more goals in the final against hosts Sweden.
The world had never seen anything like Pele before and before him, Brazil was unknown in football.
At that 1958 World Cup, Pele launched his career and the dynasty of Brazilian football – the beautiful game, which thrives to this day.
Pele and Brazil won the FIFA World Cup again in 1962 against Czechoslovakia in Chile and in 1970 against Italy in Mexico.
Pele was paid US$7Million in 1977 to come out of retirement and play for the New York Cosmos in the US Major League Soccer.
Rest in Peace Edson Arantes do Nascimento – long live the King of Football.
