All Blacks great and Crusaders legend, Justin Marshall shares his insight of the Fijian Drua win over the Crusaders, suggesting that they underestimated this banana skin game, leaving some key players behind, believing they had the depth to win it.
Lost in the wild celebrations and widespread jubilation surrounding the historic Fijian Drua win over the Crusaders in Fiji last weekend, the removal of the Fiji Rugby Union interim CEO, Tevita Tuiloa is back in the spotlight, after he revealed that Fiji 7s star, Jerry Tuwai has not received F$30,000 for his new house, promised by Prime Minister Bainimarama after the Tokyo Olympics.
Tuiloa also questioned the current contracts of the Men’s Fiji 7s squad.
This apparently upset some FRU Board members and shortly afterwards it was announced by the Chairman, Humphrey Tawake, that Tuiloa was no longer interim CEO.
The big questions are – was Tevita Tuiloa pushed, and by whom? Who had the most to lose from Tuiloa’s revelations?
