Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese is catching on real fast. At the Pacific Islands Forum in Fiji last week he reportedly told Papua New Guinea Prime Minister, James Marape of his Labour government support for an NRL licence based in PNG in 2025 when PNG celebrates 50 years of independence from Australia.
Apparently Albanese also told other Pasifika leaders they have his support for an NRL expansion team in the Pacific from Tonga, Samoa, the Cook Islands and Fiji.
