In the RWC2023 final this morning, South Africa has beaten New Zealand 11-12 with Handre Pollard kicking four penalties to one try to Beauden Barrett for the Kiwis and his younger bro Jordie missing a late long range penalty.
The turning point came in the 34th minute, when All Blacks Captain Sam Cane was yellow-carded for a high tackle which was upgraded to red on review by the TMO.
Springboks Captain Siya Kolisi was also yellow-carded for a similar offense which was not upgraded and will be a talking point long into the night.
